Accounting and Finance Career Descriptions

As the economy grows, the number of business establishments increases, requiring more accountants and auditors to set up their books, prepare their taxes and provide management advice. As these businesses grow, the volume and complexity of information developed by accountants and auditors on costs, expenditures and taxes will increase as well.

Annual salary range is from $23,300 to $109,800.

Accounting jobs are expected to grow about as fast as the average for all occupations though the year 2006.

With more accounting being done through computer and software applications those with formal education and training have the best chance for employment and advancement.
