This ancient art of muscle manipulation is experiencing a tremendous renaissance in the stressed-out, time-crunched 90's. There are as many types of massage as there are practitioners: Swedish, shiatsu, sports and aromatherapy just to name a few. There are also many career possibilities in the fields of physical therapy and nutrition.

Annual salary range is from $18,000-$37,000

This varies greatly due to location, salary versus tips and whether employed or working independently.

Some states require that massage therapists be licensed, which generally can be obtained either through a traditional cosmetology school or specialized school.
